The wind has changed and the mornings are much cooler than they have been in a while. The rain pelts the trees and the ground. In just a couple more days it is back to school for the young, and back to rest for the parents. While the summer has passed way to fast, I always look forward to fall. I love the look of the deep orange and red leaves on the trees and the ground. After a rain, the air smells fresher and the sky looks more blue and I can almost smell the scant scent of a fireplace burning off in the distance. Early in the mornings, when the frost comes, you can walk the maples and see leaves outlined in frost as if painted by a cartoonist and printed in brilliant color on the top page of a calendar. It must be there right above the large letters spelling out SEPTEMBER.
Happy labor Day!
